Roles

From Vermont Virtual

One of the tasks of a founder of a virtual company is to identify the various roles that need to be played by participants (these are usually available for self-selection by volunteers but may in some cases require selection by the active members or a designated agent charged with applying particular criteria).

New roles can be proposed at any time. Some roles can be played simultaneously by multiple members. Individuals can occupy more than one role.

Each Virtual Company online headquarters will contain an area that lists each available role, identifies who is playing the role, and describes the role in terms of what inputs or resources are converted (by action in the role) to what outputs or results.

The following is a preliminary list of the roles that may be played in the context of the Vermont Virtual Company Company -- which is itself, of course, a vermont virtual company.
